A Jewish wedding camera resident falls in love with Klezmer in the clarinetist and pretends to make a documentary to spend time with him. His false project leads to a real trip along Eastern Europe, looking for lost Klezmer melodies and remnants of Yiddish culture. Documentary fantasy hybrid. Best first film prize winner of the Berlin Film Festival.
